About the event
Barry Goldsmith is a professor, architectural historian, architect and award-winning humorist (with an Emmy Nomination and who wrote for the Joan River's Show). Goldsmith is also a travel journalist writing notable columns such as Been There, HAVEN'T Done That, recommending global sites often missed by tourists, unknown by natives, and even other travel experts.
Goldsmith lectures at prominent venues around the world (six continents) including travel-trade shows, major universities, embassies, museums (such as the Smithsonian) and major institutions such as New York's 92nd Street Y. Since 2002, he has been creating and leading press trips for the experts: government-tourist boards, airlines and hotels. Goldsmith also creates and leads commercial tours based on his lectures — gaining behind closed-door access that most tour operators only dream of.
During this lecture and presentation, Goldsmith will combine his vast knowledge of history, art, architecture, music and history with a unique wit — bringing a new perspective on often overlooked gems of architecture and history in Hungary, Art-Deco design, and noteworthy acheivements in the field.
