Dear Visitors!
If Hungarian American cultural and community life in New York City is important to you, your donation could help us maintain the Hungarian House!
AFHLE, Hungarian House is one of the most significant Hungarian community and cultural centers in New York City. Since 1964, the work of hundreds of generous supporters and volunteers ensured that thousands of visitors could learn about Hungarian culture within the walls of the Hungarian House. For the past six decades, the House has been a community establishment where generations of Hungarian Americans could experience and maintain their Hungarian identity.
The operation and maintenance of the House hinges on joint communal efforts and donations. The average maintenance costs of our Civil War era building are $50-60,000 a year, which is covered by donations and rental fees.
Your financial support, your interest in our cultural events, and your volunteering are therefore essential to keep our cultural center lively and community strong.
We want to upgrade the physical condition of the House, and to organize high quality and diverse cultural and community programs.
If you wish to support the Hungarian House, you can do so online via the Donate button, or by mailing a check payable to AFHLE, Hungarian House.
Thank you,
The Management of the Hungarian House
