Hungarian Folk Dance House and Workshop

with music by Fényes Banda and Holdvilág, dance instruction by Kata Szivós and Cathy Lamont.


A heritage celebrating program with lively and energetic music and dance for ALL ages. Csárdás, hopp!! Get your dancing shoes ready, Program / workshop details will be available soon.


Dance instruction will be lead by: Kata Szivós and Cathy Lamont.

Kata is a dancer, folk dance teacher, choreographer for the Folkmode Company, artistic director at several elementary art schools, and the head of the Sergő folk dance group in Budapest. Last year, she worked in Manchester as a scholarship recipient of the Sándor Kőrösi Csoma Program, and she is continuing her diaspora work with the same scholarship, now in Washington DC. Cathy is Co-Founder and Director of Tisza Ensemble, and has actively performed Hungarian dance in the Washington, DC area since 1982.
